By accessing or using Animates (“the Service”), operated at weareanimates.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Animates is an AI-powered pet health companion that helps pet owners track health records, log symptoms, and receive AI-assisted health insights. The Service is provided “as is” and is currently in early access.

3. Not a Veterinary Service

Animates is not a substitute for professional veterinary care. The AI chat feature provides general informational guidance only and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified veterinarian for your pet's health concerns. In an emergency, contact your nearest emergency veterinary clinic immediately.

4. User Accounts

You must sign in with a valid Google account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

5. User Data

You retain ownership of all data you enter into Animates, including pet profiles, health records, and chat messages. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service. 6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
• Use the Service to store content unrelated to pet health management

7. Availability and Changes

We strive to keep Animates available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Animates and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damages resulting from reliance on AI-generated health information. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the app.
