  • Account information: Your name, email address, and profile photo provided through Google Sign-In.
  • Pet data: Pet profiles, health records, timeline entries, and chat messages you create within the app.
  • Usage data: How you interact with the app, including pages visited and features used.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain the Animates service
  • Store and display your pet health records
  • Power AI-assisted health insights through our chat feature
  • Send you service updates and early access information (if you joined the waitlist)
  • Improve the app based on usage patterns

3. How We Store Your Data

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore). Pet health data and chat history are stored under your authenticated user account and are not accessible to other users. We also use Pinecone to store vector embeddings of your health data to power AI-assisted features.

4. Third-Party Services

Animates uses the following third-party services:

  • Google Firebase: Authentication and data storage
  • Anthropic (Claude AI): AI-powered pet health chat assistant
  • Pinecone: Vector database for health data retrieval

Each service has its own privacy policy. We do not sell your data to any third party.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your pet health data is private to your account. We may share anonymized, aggregated data for analytics purposes.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access all data associated with your account
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Export your pet health records
  • Opt out of non-essential communications
